Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Sports Bike and a Street Bike? Our Street Bikes started as standard ZX6R Sports Bikes, but we modified the handlebars for a more upright riding position, making wheelies easier and more comfortable. The sports bike course is designed for serious track day riders or those familiar with sports bikes and their riding position. The extra weight over the front end makes the course slightly more challenging.

Why do we use Kawasaki ZX6R's?At Next Level Wheelie School, we believe our clients deserve the best equipment to learn on. The Kawasaki ZX6R is our motorcycle of choice for several reasons. Firstly, the ZX6R's engines are extremely reliable and have plenty of power for learning wheelies, allowing clients to focus on their technique without worrying about breakdowns. Additionally, the ZX6R is a fuel-injected sports bike, providing smooth and predictable power delivery, crucial for learning to control a wheelie. Finally, the ZX6R has a comfortable riding position, and is light and agile, making it easy to handle for riders of all skill levels. Overall, we believe the Kawasaki ZX6R is the perfect machine for our clients to learn and master the art of the wheelie.

Why second gear clutch up wheelies?Next Level Wheelie School teaches second gear clutch up wheelies because they ensure better control, stability, and safety. With second gear clutch up wheelies, the power delivery is smoother and more linear compared to first gear wheelies, which makes maintaining a wheelie at the right height easier, less aggressive and easier to control. Additionally, second gear clutch up wheelies allow students to focus on proper body positioning and weight distribution, which are critical elements in mastering wheelie techniques.

What equipment should I wear?At Next Level Wheelie School, we prioritize the safety of our participants. All students must wear a full set of motorcycle safety gear, including a DOT-approved helmet, leather or textile jacket, gloves, sturdy pants (jeans or riding pants), and boots that cover your ankles. Knee pads are optional but highly recommended. We encourage students to bring their own gear for optimal fit and comfort. Wearing the appropriate gear ensures maximum protection in case of a fall or accident. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about the required safety gear.

We also have a strict policy that requires all students to wear their own personal protective equipment at all times during the course.
